North Gym

In 1995, the North Gym underwent a $2 million facelift that saw significant improvements for everyone involved with the facility. The changes included the installation of more than 350 chairback seats, air conditioning in the gymnasium, two electronic digital scoreboards and the construction of the North Gym Annex. Located on the north side of the gym, the annex was completed in 1995 and boasts locker rooms fro volleyball, softball, basketball, tennis and track and field. It also includes a coaches locker room and a multi-purpose/conference room.
Wathen Tennis Center

Beginning in the summer of 2002, the Wathen Tennis Center underwent an expansion that enchanced the look of the facility. In addition to resurfacing all 12 courts and replacing all wind screens, the grass berm and wrought-iron fencing that runs along the east side of the Center was extended to the north end of the courts. This allows spectators to comfortably enjoy viewing on all 12 courts and makes the complex the ideal location for WAC and NCAA Tournaments.
A raised earthen berm is located to the east of the courts, providing a landscaped area ideal for tailgating prior to matches. An elevated viewing paltform consisting of steel reinforced concrete is located between the six main courts. Approximately 400 luxury chair back seats atop this platform will face the complexes six main courts. Courts are also equipped with colarado Time System scoreboards that keep running scores during matches, allowing spectators the oppurtunity to immediately know the score on every match at the facility.
Warmerdam Field

The nine-lane, 400-meter on-campus facility is named after Cornelius Dutch Warmerdam, the former Fresno State head coach and world record holder in the pole vault. The track was resurfaced in 1989 by nationally-regarded Balsom America Track Co. The new surface consists of a 60 percent polyurethane base mixed with 40 percent EPDM rubber. The EPDM rubber (pure resilient rubber) and polyurethane (the most resilient substance manufactured) combine to form a very reponsive and fast surface which should enhance performances. Warmerdam Field, the site of the 2001 Western Atheletic Conference Outdoor Track and field Championships, seats 1,000 fans and all timing there is done by Accutrack.
