Message from the Fresno CVB Board President
Sequoia Kings Canyon and Yosemite National Parks is just the beginning!
Only 90 minutes to three National Parks! Fresno County has more lakes, rivers and streams then any County in California!
The Blossom trails come alive in the spring when wildflowers begin to lace the backdrop of your visit and the snowcapped Sierras attracts many thousands of visitors for camping, water skiing, house boating, fishing, white water rafting, and snow skiing.
There is so much to do and it’s all so close! Where else can you go snow skiing in the morning, water skiing in the afternoon and get your sun tan in the warm sunshine all on the same day?
The night life starts with your choice of dinner at one of the hundreds of outstanding diverse restaurants. Sports fans can plan on the AAA Giants professional baseball or professional hockey, Fresno State basketball, football or the many other sports attractions.
Attend entertainment attractions at one of the worlds leading concert and entertainment venues, the 15,000 seat Save Mart Center or one of the several casinos or downtown spacious exhibit halls, Selland Arena and Saroyan Theater.
Located in the center of California makes an ideal location for your conventions, family reunions or destination vacation as Fresno is easy driving from all over the State of California.
Fresno County has the fastest growing Cities of Fresno and Clovis and 13 more charming cities with antique shops and cultural diversity second to none. Fresno offers outstanding cultural arts, the Fresno County Fair and horse races in October. It also has the largest Revolutionary War Reenactment in the country, two Water Parks and all while you stay in outstanding hotels or nearby resorts. If you are a shopper, Fresno has numerous modern malls that attract thousands from outside the area. If you have not been to Fresno in a while you will find about 25 Golf courses at very competitive prices, and new first-rate exceptional restaurants all over town.
We encourage you to bring your family, company, club, organization, meetings, and conventions or to just come and vacation.
WARNING: if you visit you won’t want to go back home. We live the slow pace luxury life with little traffic. You will discover friendly people as I have when I came as a visitor in 1973 from Los Angeles. I liked Fresno so much that I moved here because this was the place that I want to live and raise my children and grandchildren.
Why not make Fresno your destination for your next vacation? We welcome you with open arms and hope you enjoy your stay.
