About This Event

A planning between two bald men, a few beers, and more than a few complications along the way, I'm proud to present another new tournament series, Full Circle Smash! Featuring Singles and Doubles brackets for Melee, Project M, and Smash 4, there's a flavor for everyone. Good beer, good people, good players. Come out and have a great time. ------------------------------------------------------------- SCHEDULE: - 1:00 PM: Registration begins - 2:00 PM: Doubles registration ends - 3:00 PM: Singles registration ends **If you're bringing a full setup, you may come at 12:00PM to aid in setting up. ------------------------------------------------------------- EVENTS AND PRICING: Venue fee - $5 Melee Singles - $5 Melee Doubles - $10 ($5 per person) Project M Singles - $5 Wii U Singles - $5 Wii U Doubles - $10 ($5 per person) Doubles events will only occur if three or more teams are present. ☆PLEASE READ☆ -Venue fees will be waived for anyone who can provide full setups (Gamecube or Wii and CRT/Wii U, Gamecube adapter, display, and DLC) -Partial discounts will be given as follows *$3 off per console *$2 off per display ------------------------------------------------------------- GENERAL TOURNAMENT RULES -Double Elimination - Sets will be best out of 3 (Winners, Losers, and Grand Finals are Best out of 5) - If called by a Tournament Organizer (T.O.) to play your set you have 5 minutes to find your opponent. Failure to do so will result in a disqualification from the tournament at the T.O.'s discression - If you are playing friendlies and players need to use your setup for a tournament match, you must end your game immediately. Failure to do so may result in disqualification from any further gameplay. ------------------------------------------------------------- PAYOUT - The prize pot will consist of tournament entrant fees. - Singles payouts are split 60/30/10 for first, second, and third place - Doubles payouts will be split 60/40 for first and second place teams. ------------------------------------------------------------- MELEE RULESET - Game Settings: 4 Stock, 8 Minute Time Limit, Items Off, Pause Enabled. Pausing results in a stock loss, at the discretion of the opponent. Best of 3 Games. Semifinals/Grandfinals are best of 5. - Starter stages: Yoshi’s Story, Fountain of Dreams, Final Destination, Battlefield, Dream Land. - Counter-pick stages: Pokemon Stadium. - Wobbling is legal. Freezing and infinite stalling are not legal. - First stage is decided by banning from the Starter Stages in P1-P2-P2-P1 order. - Winning player is not locked into the same character for the next match, but has to pick before loser selects character. - Following stages decided by winner banning one stage from all stages and then loser choosing. - Any matches that are best of five, there are no stage bans. - You may not choose a stage you have already won on unless mutually agreed to. - If each player has one stock remaining and the match ends due to a suicide move, then the player who initiated the move wins. - If a match times out, the winner is determined by remaining stocks, then lowest percentage on the same stock. If the percentage is tied, the game shall be replayed with 1 stock or a full 4 stocks if both players agree. ------------------------------------------------------------- PROJECT M 3.6 FINAL BOSS 2016 RULESET - General Rules Items off and set to none, 8 Minutes, 4 Stocks, Buffer off. - No excessive stalling (Rising Pound, Luigi ladder, etc.) - Double Blind is offered at request - You cannot counter pick to any stage you have already won on Gentleman's Clause: Any stage may be played on if both players agree to it. - If a match times out, the winner is determined by remaining stocks, then lowest percentage on the same stock. If the percentage is tied, the player nearest Port 1 will win. - Pausing Results in a stock loss, at the discretion of the opponent. - If each player has one stock remaining and the match ends due to a suicide move, the player who initiated the move wins. - No Giga Bowser or Wario Man (This should go without saying. SoPo is fine). - Stagelist: Starters: Pokemon Stadium 2 Smashville Battlefield Green Hill Zone Dreamland 64 Counterpicks: Final Destination Wario Land Fountain of Dreams Delfino's Secret - 2 Bans in a Best of 3. - 1 Ban in a Best of 5. - First stage is decided by banning from the Starter Stages in P1-P2-P2-P1 order. ------------------------------------------------------------- SUPER SMASH BROS FOR WII U 2GG RULESET A. Game Settings - Stock and time are set to 2 stock and 6 minutes for Singles - Stock and time are set to 3 stock and 8 minutes for Doubles - Custom Fighters are set to off - Mii Fighters are legal. Each setup will have 1¬1¬1¬1 Mii Brawlers/Swordsmen/Gunners available for use (Using Default A-F standard size Miis provided on console). No other specials for Mii Fighters will be allowed. Players are not allowed to transfer existing Miis to a setup. - All DLC characters are legal - Each tournament sets are best 2 out of 3 sets. - Winners/Losers Semis, Winners/Losers Finals and Grands are best 3 out of 5 sets. If coming from losers bracket you must win two sets of 3 out of 5 to win. - Team Attack is on, and you are allowed to share stocks - Damage ratio 1.0 - Items off - This tournament using a double elimination bracket B. Stage List Starter Stages ● Battlefield* ● Final Destination** ● Smashville ● Lylat Cruise ● Town & City Counterpick Stages ● Dreamland 64* ● Omega Stages* * Treated as Battlefield. If Battlefield is stuck/banned, Dream Land 64 is also struck/banned and vice-versa ** Treated as Final Destination in striking phase. If Final Destination is struck, Omega Stages are struck and vice versa. You may only choose the following Omega Stages: Palutena’s Temple, Suzaku Castle and Wily Castle. C. Additional Rules ● Stage Striking: Players engage in a battle of RPS best of 1. Winner strikes the first stage. Loser then strikes the next two stages. Winner strikes the last one effectively choosing the first stage they play on. (1-2-1) ● Stage Clause: A player/team may not pick any stage they previously won on during the set. ● If Omega stage is picked, both players must agree to it. Otherwise, you must go to Final Destination. ● Stage Bans: During the stage ban phase, the player who won the previous game may ban 1 stage from either the Starter or Counter-pick lists. ● Team Colors: Players’ character colors must match their team's color when possible, to avoid confusion (ex: Luigi on the green team must use the green costume). ● All controllers are acceptable for this event. ● You must bring your own controller. PRO CONTROLLER / WII REMOTE USAGE: Any resulting connectivity issues due to usage of this controller are the responsibility of the players. TOs will not remind you to hard disconnect your controllers after matches, or to check if someone hasn't disconnected their controller after their game. If you cause a pause during someone else's game, you will lose a stock in your next game. TOs will not provide batteries
